Loanna Morrison, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bermondsey & Old Southwark has said she that if elected she will not claim the £10,000 per annum given to MPs to send literature to their own constituents.
Loanna said, "I think it is disgraceful that the current incumbent spends almost £10,000 of taxpayers money every year to distribute his own propaganda. Despite claiming to be whiter than white when it comes to expenses, he feels the need to publically fund the advertising of his public service."
She continues, "If fortunate enough to be elected at the next general election, I will refuse to spend one penny of this ridiculous 'Communications Allowance'. Plenty of local people could do with more money in their wallets, it's a disgrace that there taxes go towards publicising the local member."
