 | Watersports Centre Reopens in Rotherhithe |
 |
The newly renovated and revamped Surrey Docks Watersports Centre opened on 11th February.
Conservative Councillor Lewis Robinson, executive member for culture, libraries, leisure and sport said: "The subsidised prices at Surrey Docks Watersports centre make it one of the most affordable and accessible places for Londoners to go sailing. The investment by Southwark Council has created a facility which offers everyone the chance to participate in some sort of water sport and perhaps for some of our children and young people to go on to be medal winners as part of our 2012 legacy. The new facilities bring the centre firmly into the 21st century."
“This is another example of Southwark Conservatives being able to push the interests of local people to the top of the council’s agenda.”
